Thank you to  Kori Patterson for designing this wonderful image for me!

WELCOME!

and thanks for visiting my site! I am Kendall Robinson; born and raised in Salem, OR. I am involved in Horses most of all. I have done Team Penning, 4-H, OHSET, Showing, Drill, and especially Barrel Racing and Gaming!  My goals include someday owning my own small ranch, to train barrel horses, host races, train horses, give lessons and help out young girls who want to learn to be a team with their horses.

A Cowgirl's Triumph

As cowgirls, we're tough. We are ready to face it all. As long as we have our cowboy hats on tight, out boots are holding up and our horses are by our sides, we can walk right through the impossible. We may lose our fancy shirts and saddle in those hard times, maybe along with some of our spirit, but all we really need is that old roper saddle that needs repair and a way to get back on. Our friends may leave us, or we may leave them, and the cowboys may not be biting like trout, but we know how to pretend that we aren't afraid.

In the arena we may not look the best, our horses shaggy from winter and our tack darkened from wear. We may not be the fastest or the best, but when we get back home, safe and sound we know. Our lives aren't perfect, but our horses love us no matter what. They are tough, strong and genuine. The way a cowboy never could be. When you have a bad day, they are there, when you're angry, they still listen, when you're happy, they make it the best day you've had in a long while, and when that cowboy tried to break your heart, they mend it and somehow tell you it's ok. When you need it, they take it slow, when you can handle it, they push you to the edge, and when they know you feel like flying, they run. They run for you. That is when you know that you are meant to be a team. Partners through life.

Some days you need a cowboy. Someone to help you through. To give you a kiss and a hug and to be there after a long day. When you need to go out with him, your horse doesn't get jealous, just lets you go and is happy when you return. That cowboy might love you, and leave, or he might love you and stay. You'll stay in love, attend your wedding, have children and that horse will teach them to ride.

We are put to the test. As cowgirls we are ready for it all. Our hearts are big, our spirits are wild, our horses are strong and our cowboys are full of love and respect. This is our lives and this is why we add that little "umph" to our try. We don't ask questions, just ride.
